Returns & exchange Policy

We appreciate that whilst we hope that you are happy with the items you have purchased from us, there may be times you need to return items.

With the exception of faulty or damaged goods you are responsible for all packaging and postage costs incurred in returning a product to us.

If you wish to return a product you have purchased from our website you may do so within 14 days of the date of delivery of you order for a full refund using your original payment method.

If an item is returned resulting in the value of your order being below an offer threshold or the threshold for free delivery, your refund will be adjusted to reflect the fact that the offer is no longer valid.

If you return your purchase after 14 days but within 28 days you will receive a credit in the form of a Wood and Toys eVoucher to the value of the item.

With the exception of faulty or damaged goods, if you return your purchase by post or courier after the 28 day period, we reserve the right to not offer you a refund in full. We will instead return your purchase to you and prior to sending it out, we will charge you the delivery fee that is applicable to the product purchased and the location to which your returns will be delivered.

Please note that no refund or exchange will be given without a despatch note, receipt or other proof of purchase.


Returning a product

We appreciate that on receipt of your order you will wish to inspect your purchase as you would do so had you been at our shop in Newark. You do have a statutory duty to take reasonable care of our goods, we therefore kindly request that you do not damage the items whilst you are inspecting them.

(NOTE: Packaging is deemed to form part of the goods and therefore should not be damaged to any degree.)

You must ensure that items returned are in new condition together with the original undamaged packaging.

Should you fail to take reasonable care of our goods, whilst in your possession or when returning them (all items to be returned should be packaged appropriately), we reserve the right to refund you in full, minus any amounts due by way of compensation to cover any loss incurred through repair or loss in value to the goods.


Refund

Should a refund be due this will be done via the original payment method used to purchase the goods.

Promotions, Discounts and Sales

In the event that promotional discounts have been applied to an order, the discount applied will be shown to each item in the basket. Should an item be returned, the discounted proportion will not be refunded.


What to do - Organising a return.

If you’re not happy with something you receive from us for any reason then please follow the steps below.

  1. Inform us of the item you are returning using the email address customersupport@woodandtoys.co.uk Please include the order number, details of the product you are looking to return and the reasons for return. 
  2. Complete the returns information on the despatch note and make sure to include it in your parcel before repacking.
  3. Repack your parcel carefully ensuring the item is not damaged due to poor packaging and address to the address below

      4. Ensure that you obtain proof of postage from the post office in case your parcel is lost in transit.

NOTE: With the exception of faulty or damaged goods you are responsible for all packaging and postage costs incurred in returning a product to us.


Circumstances In which we are unable to give refunds or exchange:

Unfortunately with the exception of faulty or damaged goods we are unable to provide refunds or exchange under the circumstances below.

  • Self-assembly items which have been assembled or part-assembled
  • In the event you have failed to take reasonable care for our goods
  • Items returned outside the terms of our Returns & Exchange Policy

Our refund policy does not affect your statutory rights in respect of faulty or damaged goods.
